On Friday 6th October 2017 Identity delivered its third annual internal conference at our newly-expanded headquarters at Identity House in Westham Business Park, East Sussex. The theme this year was “Being Brilliant Everyday”, and there was a packed itinerary for staff to enjoy.

The day kicked off sharply at 9am with Identity Managing Director Michael Gietzen outlining the aims of the day and the goals of the conference.

The Identity team listening to a talk

Up next was Identity’s Learning and Development Manager Rachel Stone, whose session looked to inspire staff on how to find their inner brilliance. Rachel has been working with Identity for nearly three years as a business leadership coach and recently joined the team to share her knowledge, wisdom and experience in developing people.

Michael then looked back at Identity’s year in review and how we had met or exceeded many of our goals for the 2016/17 financial year, including sales targets, the growth of our team (both in size and calibre), the £250,000 office expansion, a new creative studio, our dedication to delivering first class customer service and more.

Michael also looked back at many of our commercial ventures over the past 12 months, with such creative and client highlights as winning the creative contract for Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, the Martin Lewis Money Show for ITV and more.

People listening to a talk on growing sustainably

After a short coffee break the team were treated to our first guest speaker of the day – Dan Lockley, Business Development Manager at Hollywood Monster. Dan talked about some of the incredible work Hollywood Monster has implemented, which has included the 2012 London Olympics, the countrywide McDonald’s refit and Arsenal Emirates stadium.

The Identity team then split into their individual departments for a breakout session entitled “Stop, Start, Continue”, where everyone had their say on the things that they felt would help their division help Identity deliver success in 2018. Some very valuable insights were unearthed here that should prove instrumental as we move into the new year.

Our next guest speakers were Olivia Beaumont and Jamie Southam of Losberger De Boer, specialists in turn-key temporary structures for event and business use at any location. They impressed with some fantastic case studies including The Ryder Cup, Wimbledon and the Game Of Thrones premiere for Sky Atlantic.

After a brief lunch the team resumed for the final talks of the day, where managers from each of Identity’s key divisions talked about what they and their team do, and how the wider team could help build on these successes.

After a summary of the day from Michael, the team was treated to demos from many of Identity’s suppliers, including virtual and augmented reality from LM Productions, audio visual from DB Systems and the T3 modular display system from Tecna UK.

All-in-all, a fantastic conference and a brilliant way to enthuse, inspire and motivate the Identity team for 2018 and beyond. To learn how Identity can help your business, please contact us today.
