Sam joins Identity as an Account Manager and brings experience directly from the exhibitions sector and global experiential events. His main area of expertise lies within automotive after managing global brands for Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival.

During Sam’s time at Goodwood he worked with Aston Martin, Shell, Polestar, Porsche Club, Nio Formula E, Scuderia Ferrari, BAC Mono and Caterham, to name just a few. These companies required full service account management with the core focus relating to the major motoring events in the year. With every client aiming for a different event outcome, be it return on investment, brand awareness or the launch of a new product, the goalposts were constantly in flux, allowing Sam to develop his expertise across the platforms to help meet the client’s objectives.

“When the opportunity arose to join Identity, it was one which I wanted to grasp with both hands.” says Sam. “Having used Identity as a contractor in my previous role, I knew the capabilities of the team, along with the finish of the product they ultimately delivered. Becoming an Account Manager for Identity will allow me to work with some industry leading brands, a great challenge I am looking forward to. Furthermore, the team here is unrivalled in experience and contains a wealth of knowledge and expertise across all relevant sectors within the events industry, something which was a huge draw to joining the company.”

The automotive industry is on the verge of major disruption from new technology, meaning event activations, new product launches and marketing exercises need to be even more engaging and provide an experiential opportunity for consumers. Over the next 10 years, we will start to see a rise in autonomous vehicle technology and electric vehicles which will create new opportunities.

“I believe we will start to see new partnerships develop between global players within automotive and digital brands, which will spearhead a largescale movement and create a new industry sector. With Identity already being a market leader within the events industry, the development of brands we already work with in these two sectors will provide a great foothold in what will be a new wave of experiential marketing, one in which I am very excited to be part of.”

Another movement which is well underway within the automotive industry is the environmental impact vehicles are having to our planet. This is proving evident with the rapid growth rate of electric cars, paired with government legislation to stop all diesel car manufacturing in the future. This is only going to be echoed within manufacturer’s marketing and events campaigns, by using renewable and sustainable products and materials, something which Identity is already fully on board with.

Identity are excited to have Sam join the team, nurturing and growing our relationships within the automotive industry. If you would like to see how Identity can assist with your next live event, please call us on 01323 469111 or email us at letstalk@identitygroup.co.uk today.
