Identity’s Highlights from The Drum Design Awards
Identity are partnering with global media platform The Drum this year, which includes sponsoring four of their main awards shows. On 7th June, we sponsored The Drum Design Awards which took place at the prestigious Emirates Stadium in London.
The Drum Design Awards exclusively recognises fantastic design being produced by agencies and design studios and is an evening all about celebrating and rewarding everyone’s successes over the past year. In this article, we will talk about some of our highlights of the nights event.
The evening kicked off with the grand unveiling of the new Drum Award trophy design, created by NB Studio. Presented by The Drum’s co-founder and editor-in-chief, Gordon Young, who revealed the new video, soundbite and trophy which will be used throughout their coming awards shows over the next year.
After a fantastic three-course meal and comedy from the brilliant Tom Ward, The Drum’s Managing Director Lynn Lester hosted the awards presentation.
In our position as main sponsor of The Drum Design Awards, Identity’s Commercial Director John Woollaston presented four awards on the night.

On the night we once again supplied our custom-made giant deckchair to bring a little extra fun to the occasion. This was incredibly popular with attendees really enjoying the fantastic photo opportunities.
We had a fantastic evening at The Drum Design Awards and celebrating everyone’s industry achievements. Well done to all the winners, and we look forward to The Drum Creative Out of Home Awards, which we are sponsoring in November 2018.
