Fresh from the success of the G7 Summit in Cornwall, there are more exciting projects in the pipeline for Identity.

On 1st November 2021, Identity will use its well-honed skills and experience to deliver the UN Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP26).

The sustainable event will be delivered on behalf of the UK Government at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, Scotland and is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State ever hosted in the UK.

Delegates, including Heads of State, climate experts and negotiators will come together at COP26 to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change. As well as the negotiations, there will also be space for countries, international organisations and other delegates to showcase climate action, highlight diverse climate change issues and share knowledge.

Janet Dodd, Director of Live Events at Identity said: “We are honoured and proud to be the agency of choice to deliver this critical conference and to be supporting the government in uniting the world to tackle climate change. At Identity, we are determined to do everything we can to combat climate change and in pursuit of this, we have a dedicated team who focus on helping us achieve our vision. This team will be integral in making sure that COP26 is the most sustainable one to date and achieves ISO 20121 accreditation. We are delighted that we will once again be working with the talented teams at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office and Cabinet Office, and are looking forward to working with them to deliver an event that will really make a difference.”

By staying sanguine and ingrained with ambition, Identity have been continuously pushing through the COVID-19 pandemic, with the result of being in huge demand across the private and public sectors for some time now, making it one of the few continuous rising stars in the events sector.

“COP26 is a hugely important international event focusing on action to tackle climate change. It will attract worldwide media attention while hosting international heads of state, along with campaigners and climate experts. We are delighted to have been chosen and trusted to deliver this very high-profile event.” – Michael Gietzen, Managing Director at Identity.

As a Queen’s Award winning agency, we are filled with immense pride to have won the competitive tender process for COP26 and are extremely eager to dive into executing the planning of this prestigious event.
