Earlier this year Identity formed a dedicated charity committee. A team of individuals keen to develop Identity’s fundraising efforts and organise some really fun activities for all staff members to get involved with. At the beginning of the year a survey was held across the company and it was decided that both Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare and Children with Cancer Fund would become Identity’s partnered charities. The committee have been busy planning events to raise funds and awareness for the two worthy causes.

Nick Heath from the charity committee (and Identity’s Creative Director) will be heading up one of this year’s key events – the 100 Mile South Downs Way Bike Ride Challenge. Nick himself is a keen sportsman and is currently training for a triathlon just before he takes on the 100 Mile challenge. Bravely joining him will be Managing Director Michael Gietzen, Operations Director Paul Fitzpatrick and Senior Production Manager David Naylor, along with Michael’s brother James. The group will be making their way up to Winchester on Friday 14th September, ready to start cycling on Saturday the 15th and hoping to make good time to be back in Eastbourne for a celebratory and well-earned BBQ on the Sunday!

The riders will be accompanied by a well-equipped support team along the way and they will most certainly have everyone here at Identity encouraging them through all the steep inclines.

Another factor which will help them power up every hill is the amount of money being raised – so please go to the JustGiving page to make a donation and help us reach our target. We really appreciate all money raised.

The team now embark on a strict training regime in order to be in a good position to take on the challenge. We wish them the best of luck!
