Identity were proud to be sponsors at the 2018 Field Marketing and Brand Experience (FMBE) Awards, which took place on the 11th October at The Troxy in London. The FMBE Awards is a prestigious and popular event, which brought together over 600 people from top brands and agencies under one roof to celebrate the best in live event campaigns. Each year has a theme and this year it was Top of the Pops – DJ Pat Sharp hosted, pop and rock star impersonators mixed with the crowd and the night sizzled with a fun party around the dance floor.

As part of our partnership, we were closely involved with the awards throughout the entire process. Identity’s Commercial Director John Woollaston and Experiential Account Director Toby Havord were amongst many leading industry professionals on the judging panel, analysing the innovative and impressive campaigns that were entered.

On the night, Identity’s Group Managing Director Michael Gietzen proudly presented the awards for Product Launch and Product Relaunch and The Most Effective Stand and Display Unit.

Won by Custodian Consultancy and their work with Uncle Ben’s.

Most Effective Stand or Experiential Display Award

Won by 4D Design for Coriant.

As part of the event, we also held an activation in the venue. Following the Top of the Pops theme and highlighting Identity’s message that it is a little bit of London by the sea, we themed our stand on a mods and rockers Brighton beach style. This included our always popular giant deck chair with some fun beach-themed props, which made for fantastic photo opportunities!

We also ran a competition for the chance to win a pair of custom deck chairs. Watch this space as winners will be announced shortly.

As part of our activation, we were thrilled to partner with Motion Mapping and PSD Ice Art to deliver video projection through a 3m wide ice wall. This is something that has never been done before and we were excited to debut it at the FMBE Awards, projecting a looping video comprised of our services and many of our clients juxtaposed with mods and rockers footage and a mixture of fun effects. The activation proved popular throughout the night, with guests excitedly posing and taking photos in front of the ice wall.

We thoroughly enjoyed the 2018 FMBE Awards and celebrating the event industry’s achievements over the past year. Congratulations to all the winners and we look forward to the 2019 event!
