On Friday 5th October 2018, Identity delivered its fourth annual internal conference at The View Hotel on Eastbourne Seafront. The theme of the event this year was ‘Top 20 Live Events Agency by 2022’. The day involved a packed agenda full of presentations, breakout sessions and demonstrations.
At 8:30am, the day began with Identity’s Managing Director, Michael Gietzen welcoming staff and outlining the order of the conference. First was our guest keynote speaker, Mike Wenham from Pro-actions Business Coaching and Support. Mike’s speech informed staff on how to maximise productivity at work. He discussed how to prioritise tasks using a quadrant, separating them into urgent and important, urgent and unimportant, important but not urgent and finally unimportant and not urgent.
Michael Gietzen then reviewed Identity’s year since the previous staff conference and looked at how we had met and exceeded many of our goals for 2017/18, including sales targets, the growth of our team and our dedication to delivering first class customer service.
Michael also looked back on many of our client ventures over the past 12 months including work with Rovio, Sportradar, Royole and more. He then gave the team an insight on where he wants Identity to be in the next year, as well as the long-term goal to be a Top 20 Live Events Agency by 2022.
After a short coffee break the team were treated to a speech from John Woollaston, Identity’s Commercial Director. John introduced himself to the wider team and discussed his prior work experience before starting at Identity. John went on to share how he got to where he is today, as well as how the the whole team can achieve company objectives for 2018/19.
Up next was Director of Live Events, Janet Dodd. Similar to John’s presentation, Janet first spoke to us about her role in the events industry, key projects and clients that she has worked with, which includes an extensive list of government events. Janet then talked about how she believes we will achieve our company objectives over the next financial year, and aiming for our main goal of becoming a top 20 live events agency.
The Identity team then split into their separate departments for a breakout session where the teams shared how they think their department can help Identity deliver success over 2018/2019, as well as how to be a ‘Top 20 Live Events Agency by 2022’. Each team mentioned great and insightful suggestions that will most definitely help us to achieve our new aims and objectives.
Overall, the conference was fantastic and served as a great way to inspire and motivate the Identity team for 2019 and beyond. To learn how Identity can help with your next live event, please contact us today by emailing us at email@example.com or call the office on 01323 469111.
